چکیده

The present study consist of 29 rice genotypes including one check variety that were evaluated at Field Experimentation Centre the Department Genetics and Plant Breeding, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University Agriculture, Technology Sciences, Prayagraj U.P. to genetic variability, heritability, advance, correlation path coefficient for 13 quantitative characters. experiment was conducted by using Randomized Block Design with three replications during Kharif -2019. Observation recorded variability parameters, yield its attributing traits. Significant reported all On basis mean performance IRRI-156 found be superior in grain per hill followed TP- 30441 NDR-1045. High moderate GCV PCV number spikelets panicle, biological yield, test weight flag leaf length. Grain indicated significant positive days 50% flowering, panicle length, phenotypic level whereas genotypic it showed plant height. Path analysis direct effects on exhibited height panicles effect length level. Thus, these traits are identified as efficient potential indirect selection improvement productivity experimental materials.

Investigation of the Yield and Quality Traits of Some Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Genotypes

Grain quality in rice is one of the main determinants of marketability and product sales. The aim of this study was to investigate the quality of different rice genotypes in different environments and to identify the genotypes with desirable quality. In this trial, qualitative characteristics of 16 rice genotypes, six introduced lines, 8 parental genotypes and 2 genotypes as control in Amol and...

Analysis of QTLs for panicle exsertion and its relationship with yield and yield-related traits in rice (Oryza sativa L.).

Panicle exsertion (PE) is an important morphological trait that is closely associated with spikelet fertility and grain yield. To understand the genetic basis of PE and its relationships with yield and yield-related traits, a recombinant inbred population consisting of 240 lines derived from a cross between an Indica cultivar 'Kasalath' and a Japonica germplasm 'TD70', was studied over two year...

Correlation Studies in Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Seventy genotypes of rice (Oryza sativa L.) were evaluated during Kharif 2012 to study the nature and extent of correlation among yield and yield attributing characters, days to 50 per cent flowering, days to maturity, number of effective tillers per plant, plant height, panicle length, number of grains per panicle, 1000-grain weight, grain yield per plant, kernel length, kernel breadth and L/B...

Association mapping for yield and grain quality traits in rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Association analysis was applied to a panel of accessions of Embrapa Rice Core Collection (ERiCC) with 86 SSR and field data from two experiments. A clear subdivision between lowland and upland accessions was apparent, thereby indicating the presence of population structure. Thirty-two accessions with admixed ancestry were identified through structure analysis, these being discarded from associ...

Evaluation and grouping of rice (Oryza sativa L.) genotypes of Central and West Asia using agronomic traits and grain yield

Rice is the staple food of half of the world's population and one of the most important crops in Central and West Asia. To assess variation in some important agronomic traits and grouping of rice genotypes, this study was performed and 49 genotypes from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, and Uzbekistan along with 7 genotypes from Iran were evaluated using randomized ...
